More information

I provide private care at the Spire Hospital, Bristol. Your consultation (outpatient visit) will be in one of consulting rooms at the Spire Hospital (level 2). A referral letter from your GP would be useful, but not a requirement. At the start of the consultation, a detailed medical history will be taken. An examination, including a vaginal (internal) examination will be performed as a part of the assessment. A chaperone will always be present during the examination. I personally perform a transvaginal ultrasound scan (performed through a probe in the vagina)  and if this is required it will be performed at the same time and will incur extra charges. Should you require urodynamic assessments (to evaluate your urinary or bladder symptoms), these tests are performed at the Urodynamics Department at Southmead Hospital.

Duration of the consultation

First appointment             30 minutes

Follow up appointment     20 minutes
